Our trainers share one goal: helping dogs and their people live better together. We focus on clear communication, practical skills, and fair, consistent guidance so dogs understand what’s expected and feel confident meeting those expectations. Every dog is an individual, so our team works collaboratively to tailor training to the dog in front of us while keeping owners informed and involved throughout the process. The result is reliable behavior, stronger relationships, and skills that hold up in real life—not just in training sessions.

John Kuendig

John’s training career began in 2005 working with marine mammals and exotic species in zoos and facilities across the U.S. That foundation shaped his approach, but it was the partnership between dogs and their people that truly stuck. After getting his own dog, Maker, his focus shifted fully to canine training—and John K9 was born in 2015. These days, you’ll usually find John and Maker outdoors, on the water, or working livestock together.

Lead Trainer

Arianna Krenz

Arianna brings 12 years of professional dog experience across shelters, daycare, boarding, and training, including work with police K9 and search-and-rescue teams. She leads our training programs and oversees all daycare introductions, with a special passion for tracking, nosework, and working breeds like Huskies and hounds. Arianna also holds a certification in canine nutrition, supporting the health and wellbeing of every dog in our care. Her career started at 15 walking shelter dogs—and she’s been all-in ever since.

Trainer/Decoy

Carlos Ribot

Carlos specializes in practical training for family dogs, helping owners build clear communication and reliable manners they can live with every day. He also enjoys rehabbing dogs with behavioral challenges and working as a decoy to help develop protection dogs. Born in Puerto Rico and an Army veteran, Carlos brings steady leadership, patience, and follow-through to every dog he works with.

Evan Lopez

With 6 years of experience, Evan discovered his love for dog training after getting his first Malinois.

He’s passionate about competition obedience and protection work and enjoys building strong, trusting relationships with every dog he trains.

He’s been with our team since September 2025.
